• AM (Technical)
• Technical Assistant

These positions are needed for the seamless efficiency and successful completion of projects in Karachi Shipyard. In the Technical Department, you will actively participate in the ship construction, in the design, construction, and maintenance phases.

📋 Job Details and Responsibilities:

1. AM (Technical):

In the position of the Assistant Manager (Technical), you will manage, operate, oversee, and provide all the necessary support in the Technical Operations of the Shipyard. This is a key position within the shipyard and it requires already established leadership qualities as well as sound technical knowledge of the shipyard’s operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage technical operations in shipbuilding projects.
• Guarantee that all projects executed are within the compliance of the set standards in quality and safety.
• Carry out the functions of a lead troubleshooter for all technical problems of machinery and systems.
• Assign work to and direct subordinate employees and technicians.
• Guarantee that all projects and maintenance timelines are achieved.
• Generate the technical documentation which includes but is not limited to: the reports, maintenance documentation, and performance appraisal documentation.

2. Technical Assistant:

The Technical Assistant is responsible for aiding the technical staff of every stage of the shipbuilding process, enabling the smooth functioning of activities and order. This position is ideal for people who have a high level of interest in engineering and shipbuilding.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take part in a process of skill to procedure and engineering activities.
• Take part in planning and support of maintenance, scheduling, and concerning the working of maintenance.
• Perform routine qualification tests of a machines and systems.
• Keep logs of technical problems and present them to superior technical executives.
• Participate in the formation of technical reports and associated documents.
• Assist the engineering division in executing the work in the prescribed time.

📚 Qualifications and Experience Required:

For AM (Technical):

• Educational Requirements: Holds a degree (BE) in mechanical engineering or equivalent from a national accredited institution.
• Experience: At least two or three years of practical experience in shipbuilding or a technical related area.
• Skills Required: Leadership and management capabilities on projects, seasoned in engineering solution, and skill in software applications for engineering systems.

For Technical Assistant:

• Educational Requirements: Mechanical engineering or a related degree and a diploma of associate engineer (DAE) from a qualified board.
• Experience: Two years working experience in engineering and technical support.
• Skills Required: Experience with technical equipment maintenance, database handling, and report generation is required.
• Possesses strong analytical frameworks and problem solving competencies.
